There was submitted the Minute of the meeting of this Local Partnership held on 19 September 2024.

DECIDED: That the Minute be approved.

There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive providing an update on funding allocated by this Local Partnership in 2024/25 together with the current budget position; the Local Partnership Development Programme, particularly around the recent appointment of the Local Partnerships Development Officer; and the Winter Connections programme for 2024/25 together with an overview of the Winter Connections projects being hosted by local organisations in this Local Partnership area.

DECIDED: That the report be noted.

Under reference to item 6 of the Minute of the meeting of this Local Partnership held on 13 September 2024, the Strategic Partnerships & Inequalities Manager and the Lead Officer delivered a presentation on the refresh of the Partnership’s local priorities.

Areas covered in the presentation included the current local priorities, local data and insights, census information, census geography, demography and migration, housing and household sizes, ethnic groups and national identity, language and religion, and community planning priorities. Based on the information provided, members worked in groups to review the local priorities for the area. 

Following the workshops, the Strategic Partnerships & Inequalities Manager, the Lead Officer and the Local Partnerships Development Officer summarised the discussions of their respective workshops. The Strategic Partnerships & Inequalities Manager advised that a report on the local priorities would be submitted to the next meeting for approval.

DECIDED: That it be noted that a report on the local priorities would be submitted to the next meeting for approval.

There was submitted a report by the Director of Finance & Resources relative to the timetable of meetings for The Villages Local Partnership in 2025.

DECIDED: That meetings of The Villages Local Partnership be held at 6.00 pm on 20 February, 1 May, 21 August, and 20 November 2025.



At this point in the meeting Anne-Marie Balfour raised a governance query in relation to item 1 of the Minute of the meeting of this Local Partnership held on 19 September 2024, which had been approved at the start of this meeting. The Chair indicated that he would take advice on this matter.
