- Connections with Faith Groups.
4
There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive relative to the themes being developed in the new Renfrewshire Community Plan to replace the current update of the 2017/27 Plan which was agreed in 2022.

S Graham advised that Green and Child Poverty themes would remain as priority actions however, the Community Planning Executive Group also explored potential additional areas of activity in relation to Renfrewshire’s economy and the wider skills and employability agenda.  The report noted that Community Cohesion had emerged as a new priority.  This reflected the views of Community Planning partners that current efforts to maintain and strengthen cohesion between communities of interest in Renfrewshire should be a priority.

S Graham advised that the Integration Nework Renfrewshire (IN-Ren) hosted by Engage and the DEER group, which included ethnic and disability groups were very active organisations.  Members of Renfrewshire Forum for Empowering Communities were asked to share any contacts they had with local, regional or national faith groups with Renfrewshire Council to assist in the development of contacts.

DECIDED:  That the report and verbal update be noted.
5 CPIB discussion about 3rd sector funding at the last CPP Executive
Discussion led by Chair.
5
The Chair led discussion on third sector funding in which it was agreed that third sector organisations would like to move to three-year funding rather than yearly funding as the sector needed clarity and stability to secure its resilience and to grow its capacity.  It was noted that as of early 2026, the Scottish Government had implemented a Fairer Funding Pilot designed to move third-sector organisations from annual funding cycles to multi-year agreements, with a focus on stability and tackling child poverty.

DECIDED:  That the verbal update be noted.
Report by Chief Executive. (Not Available - Report to Follow)

There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive relative to the Renfrewshire Funding Fayre which took place on Wednesday 28 January 2026.

The purpose of the event was to help local charities, voluntary groups, social
enterprises and community organisations explore current funding opportunities and build relationships with local and national funders. The Funding Fayre also provided an opportunity for local groups to meet and speak to each other about possibilities for mutual support and collaboration. It was noted that feedback received from participants was very positive and the organisers would consider this and the perspective of the funders in planning for future events.

DECIDED:  That the report be noted.
