Prior to the commencement of the meeting, the Convener intimated that this meeting would be recorded for subsequent broadcast via the Council's internet site.

There were no declarations of interest or transparency statements intimated prior to the commencement of the meeting.

The Board resolved that the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item of business as it was likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted, that if members of the press and public were present there would be disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part I of schedule 7A of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

The Board considered the possible suspension or revocation of the undernoted Private Hire Car Driver’s Licence. The licence holder had been asked to appear personally together with Police Scotland:-

Mr Gobara, the licence holder, joined the meeting together with Sergeant White on behalf of the Chief Constable. The Managing Solicitor (Licensing) advised that Mr Gobara’s Private Hire Car Driver’s Licence expired on 30 November 2025 and that Mr Gobara had not applied to renew this licence. Further, as a result of the licence having expired, there was no decision for the Board to take in relation to the possible suspension or revocation of Mr Gobara’s Private Hire Car Driver’s Licence.

DECIDED: That it be noted that Mr Gobara’s licence had expired.
