Report by Chief Executive.
2

There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive relative to the funds allocated by this Local Partnership during 2024/25, the current budget position and the provision of feedback in terms of the projects the funding had been awarded to.

The report reminded members that Gleniffer Local Partnership had provided funding to community groups to undertake projects with funding allocated from the General Grant Fund and through the Participatory Budgeting exercise known as Celebrating Renfrewshire. The infographic appended to the report provided a breakdown of the funding awarded.

The report indicated that following the withdrawal of the application from The Food Train there was a remaining balance of £3,047.20. Jim Duffy proposed that the remaining balance be put towards a planned tree planting project being run by the West Region Scouts Association. This was agreed in principle subject to the completion of an application form.

DECIDED:

(a) That the infographic and budget monitoring reports be noted; and

(b) That the Partnership would invite a funding application from the West Region Scouts Association for a tree planting project.

Verbal report by Vice-Chair.

The Partnership received a verbal update from Jim Duffy, Vice Chair, on progress with the establishment of a Gleniffer Development Trust. Work was on going to gauge the local appetite for a development trust and that the Council's Connected Communities team were assisting with linking in with local groups.

It was noted that, unlike Development Trusts, Local Partnerships were not considered statutory consultees in the process for producing Local Development Plans. It was suggested that Alan Williamson, Strategy & Place Manager, Renfrewshire Council could be invited to a future meeting of the Partnership to provide an update on this process. Reference was also made to the presentation given at the meeting Renfrew Development Trust on this subject and it was agreed a that this would be circulated to members following the meeting.

DECIDED:

(a) That the verbal update be noted;

(b) That the Council's Strategy & Place Manager be invited to a future meeting of the Partnership to provide an update on the process for producing a Local Development Plan; and

(c) That the presentation given at the meeting of the Renfrew Development Trust on Local Development Plans would be circulated to all members.
