DECIDED: That the Minute be approved.

There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive relative to the spotchecking exercise carried out on a sample of organisations which were awarded funding from this Partnership during 2023/24.  The report detailed the outcome of checks carried out on the awards made to Glenburn Resource Centre, Foxbar Resource Community Café and PACE Theatre Company.

 

DECIDED:

 

(a) That the outcome of the spotchecks for 2023/24 be noted; and

 

(b) That the Chair and Lead Officer be authorised to select a sample of groups awarded funding in 2024/25 for the next round of spot checks.

There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive, Renfrewshire Council, relative to applications for grant funding which had been put forward for consideration by the Gleniffer Local Partnership.  The Partnership Manager advised that the application from Loud & Proud was actually for £5,000, not £1,500 as detailed in Appendix 1 of the report.

 

The report set out that the sum available for dispersal to Gleniffer Local Partnership for 2024/25 was £52,914 and that the total value of applications made was £85,230.25.

 

Councillor MacFarlane moved:

 

(a) That applications for £2,750 or less would be fully funded;

 

(b) That applications for more than £2,750 would be awarded £2,300;

 

(c) That the application for funding received by Lamont Farm be refused;

 

(d) That it be noted that this would result in £49,867.25 being awarded with £3,046.75 remaining available for dispersal;

 

(e) That it be agreed that grants would be awarded subject to feedback being received on any grants issued to the applicants in 2024/25; and

 

(f) That it be agreed that grants would be awarded subject to these not being used for staffing costs and that applicants would need to demonstrate this where required.

 

This was agreed unanimously.

FR1050 - Foxbar Friday Bowling Club - awarded £1,996.42

 

FR1060 - Rainbow Turtle: Fair Trade Education and Promotion - awarded £2,300.00

 

FR1061 - Foxbar Elderly Forum - awarded £2,000.00

 

FR1067 - 7th Paisley & District JNI Scout Group: Bield Activity Centre, Community outreach programme - awarded £2,000.00

(b) That it be noted that the above awards totalled £52,167.25 with £746.75 remaining available for dispersal;

 

(c) That it be agreed that grants would be awarded subject to feedback being received on any grants issued to the applicants in 2024/25; and

 

(d) That it be agreed that grants would be awarded subject to these not being used for staffing costs and that applicants would need to demonstrate this where required.
