2 Civil Contingencies
Presentation by Charlotte McCallum, Civil Contingencies Service Manager, Renfrewshire Council.

C McCallum, Civil Contingencies Officer, provided a presentation relative to emergency
preparedness and the Civil Contingencies Services.

Reference was made to national and local risks; the national and local emergency
response and resilience structure; and the Council's statutory responsibilities. It was agreed that copies of the slide presentation be made available to members of
the local partnership following the meeting.

DECIDED: That the information provided be noted and that arrangements be made to
circulate copies of the slide presentation to members of the local partnership.
3 Gleniffer Community Development Trust
Verbal report by Jim Duffy, Vice Chair.

J Duffy provided information relative to the establishment of a Community Development Trust (CDT) in Gleniffer which could take forward the development of a place plan for the area.

Following discussions with Engage Renfrewshire, Mr Duffy advised that the next stage in the process would be to contact local groups to assess local appetite for the development of a CDT in Gleniffer. It was agreed that Connected Communities would work with Mr Duffy to arrange for a suitably worded e-mail to be sent to local groups in the Partnership’s area.

DECIDED: That Connected Communities work with Mr Duffy to arrange for a suitably worded e-mail to be sent to local groups in the Partnership’s area to assess local appetite for the development of a CDT.

There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive relative to funding allocated by the Gleniffer Local Partnership from the General Grant Fund and through a Participating Budgeting exercise known as Celebrating Renfrewshire.  Appendix 1 to the report set out the funds allocated by this Local Partnership in 2024/25 and provided details of the current budget position. Appendix 2 to the report set out the local priorities for this Local Partnership agreed at its meeting held on 10 December 2024.

The Partnerships Planning and Development Manager highlighted the balance of £1,353.95 in the Partnership’s budget and proposed that this sum be ringfenced, pending the submission of a valid application, for the Langcraigs Primary School Bikeability Project. This was agreed.

DECIDED:

(a) That a session be arranged for the Partnership to develop actions to complement funding in response to the identified priorities; and

(b) That the balance of £1,353.95 in the Partnership’s budget be ringfenced pending the submission of a valid application by Langcraigs Primary School Bikeability Project.

There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive relative to the revised process which would allow Local Partnership community members to claim expenses.

DECIDED: That the updated arrangements for community members to claim expenses be noted.
