There was no appearance by the applicant. The application was considered in the absence of Mr Edgar. A representative of Police Scotland was heard. On hearing the reasons for the lateness of the objection, the Convener proposed that the objection be taken into account when the application was considered. This was agreed unanimously. Following an adjournment, in terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that the application be refused. This was agreed unanimously.

In terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that the application be granted for a period of six months. This was agreed unanimously.

In terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that the application be granted for a period of one year. This was agreed unanimously.

In terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that the application be granted for a period of one year. This was agreed unanimously.

In terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that the application be granted for a period of one year. This was agreed unanimously.

There was no appearance by the applicant. The application was considered in the absence of Mr Akram. A representative of Police Scotland was heard. In terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that consideration of the application be continued to later in the meeting. This was agreed unanimously. 

DECIDED: That consideration of the application be continued to later in the meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 10.45 am and resumed at 10.55 am.

(i) Mohammad Akram

Under reference to item 3(h) of this minute, consideration was resumed of this application. The applicant, having been duly cited, was in attendance, accompanied by his son and was heard in relation to his application. A representative of Police Scotland was also heard. Following an adjournment, in terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that the application be refused. This was agreed unanimously. 

DECIDED: That the application be refused.

(j) Sardar Wali

There was no appearance by the applicant. The application was considered in the absence of Mr Wali. A representative of Police Scotland was heard. In terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that consideration of the application be continued and that the applicant be invited to a future meeting of the Board. This was agreed unanimously.

(k) Safiulla Monsef

There was no appearance by the applicant. The application was considered in the absence of Mr Monsef. In terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that the application be refused. This was agreed unanimously.

(l) Tarek Al Hawamda

There was no appearance by the applicant. The application was considered in the absence of Mr Hawamda. In terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that the application be refused. This was agreed unanimously.

(m) Usama Lakhani

In terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that the application be granted for a period of one year. This was agreed unanimously.

(n) Kumna Jide Salako

In terms of Standing Order 59 Councillor McNaughtan moved that consideration of the application be continued and that the applicant be invited to a future meeting of the Board. This was agreed unanimously.

The Board considered the possible suspension or revocation of the undernoted licence:-

Harry Traynor – P1090

The licence holder, having been duly cited, was in attendance and was heard in relation to this matter. A representative of Police Scotland was also in attendance. The Managing Solicitor (Licensing) advised that Mr Traynor's licence had expired and that no renewal application had been received. Mr Traynor intimated that he would no longer be operating as a Private Hire Car Driver.

DECIDED: That it be noted that Mr Traynor’s licence had expired and that he would no longer be operating as a Private Hire Car Driver.
