Under reference to item 4(a) of the Minute of the meeting of this Board held on 27 March 2025, consideration was resumed of application (a) and under reference to item 7 of the Minute of the meeting of this Board held on 14 May 2025, consideration was resumed of application (b) for grant of Taxi Drivers’ Licences.

The applicants had been asked to appear personally together with Police Scotland who had submitted an objection to application (a) and a representation to application (b):-

(a) Robert Crosbie

Mr Crosbie, the applicant, joined the meeting together with Sergeant Robertson on behalf of the Chief Constable who had submitted an objection to the application. After consideration of all matters before the Board, the Board adjourned to allow members to consider this application. The meeting was reconvened and the Convener proposed that the application be granted for a period of one year. This was agreed unanimously.

Mr Kamboj, the applicant, joined the meeting. Sergeant Robertson remained in the meeting having not left following consideration of the previous item of business, on behalf of the Chief Constable who had submitted a representation to the application. Mr McLellan, the applicant, joined the meeting. The Convener proposed that items 14 and 15 be considered together but that separate decisions be made. This was agreed unanimously. After consideration of all matters before the Board, the Board adjourned to allow Members to consider the applications. The meeting was reconvened and the Convener proposed that the application for exemption from mobility assistance duties be granted for the duration of Mr McLellan’s current Taxi Driver’s Licence, T0099. This was agreed unanimously. The Convener proposed that the application for variation of Taxi Operator’s Licence, TX090, be granted and that standard condition 22 of the licence be amended to enable Mr McLellan to operate a saloon car. This was agreed unanimously.

(a) That the application for exemption from mobility assistance duties be granted for the duration of Mr McLellan’s current Taxi Driver’s Licence, T0099; and
