There was submitted the Minute of the meeting of this Local Partnership held on 26 June 2024. 

DECIDED:  That the Minute be approved.

There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive relative to the funds allocated by this Local Partnership in 2024/25 and the current budget position.

The report intimated that Johnstone and Linwood Local Partnership provided funding to community groups to undertake projects. This funding was allocated from the General Grant Fund and, through a Participating Budgeting exercise known as Celebrating Renfrewshire, the Youth Challenge Fund. 

A table setting out the funds allocated by Johnstone and Linwood Local Partnership in 2024/25 and current budget position was attached as an appendix to the report.

DECIDED:  That the report for be noted.

There was a presentation on the local area demographics and local priorities by the Partnership Manager.

Areas covered in the presentation included census information, census geography, demography and migration, housing and household sizes, ethnic groups and national identity, the previous local priorities including key themes, taking pride in towns, roads and transport, what’s on in Johnstone and Linwood, community safety and tackling poverty.

Members worked in groups to review the local priorities for the area. After
discussion, and following feedback from groups the Partnership Manager advised he would bring a report to the next meeting of the Local Area Partnership for approval of the priorities moving forward.

DECIDED:  

(a)  That the presentations be noted and the presentation slides be sent to Members for their information; and 

(b)  That a report by the Partnership Manager be submitted to the next meeting of the Local Area Partnership on 5 December 2024 on the priorities discussed for approval by the Local Area Partnership.

DECIDED: That it be noted that the next meeting of this Local Partnership would be held at 6.00pm on 5 December 2024 via Teams Platform.
