There was submitted the Minute of the meeting of the Local Partnership held on 23 September 2020.

DECIDED:  That the Minute be approved.

Under reference to item 2 of the Minute of meeting of this Local Partnership held on 24 November 2020 there was submitted a report by the Chief Executive, Renfrewshire Council relative to applications for Local Partnership Funding for Renfrew 2020/21.

The report advised that two applications had been deferred from the previous meeting and two further funding applications had been received and submitted for consideration.

The available allocation for Renfrew Local Partnership was £107,813, made up of £40,453 from the General Fund and £67,360 from the Common Good Fund. If all funding allocated at the September meeting was claimed, there would remain £33,035 in the Common Good Fund and £4,141 in the General Fund for further allocation.  The Youth Challenge Fund component of Renfrew Local Partnership Funding was £18,657 which was being allocated by young people through a Participatory Budgeting process which was currently underway.

FR1222 - Arkleston & Newmains Community Centre – awarded £11,000
FR1221 – Renfrew YMCA – awarded £10,000.

DECIDED:  That it be agreed to award the grant applications as noted above.

Under reference to item 4 of the Minute of meeting of this Local Partnership held on 6 November 2019 there was submitted a report by the Chief Executive, Renfrewshire Council relative to the Fulbar Avenue and Craigielea Road underpass mural project.

The report advised that at the meeting of the Renfrew Local Partnership held on 6 November 2019 it had been agreed than £10,000 be allocated from the Common Good Fund to complete a mural project on the underpass between Fulbar Avenue and Craigielea Road.

The report advised that the project would be led by a local youth group and involve pupils from the two local primary schools and a professional artist. 

The report proposed that an additional £2,620 be allocated from the Common Good Fund to this project to cover the involvement of all four primary schools through a programme of development sessions with local children and professional artist’s fees. 

DECIDED:  That it be agreed that Renfrew Local Partnership award a further £2,620 from Renfrew Common Good fund to support the increased scope of this project.

There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive relative to the Renfrew Local Partnership budget for 2020/21.

The report advised that Renfrew Local Partnership provided funding to community groups to undertake projects. This funding was allocated from the General Grant Fund, the Renfrew Common Good Fund and, through a Participating Budgeting exercise known as Celebrating Renfrewshire, the Youth Challenge Fund.  An Appendix to the report detailed the funds allocated by Renfrew Local Partnership at the meeting which was held on 23 September 2020. 

DECIDED:  That the budget monitoring report be noted.
