There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive which provided details of funding allocated by Erskine, Inchinnan, Bishopton and Langbank Local Partnership from the General Grant Fund and through a Participating Budgeting exercise known as Celebrating Renfrewshire. Appendix 1 to the report set out the funds allocated by this Local Partnership in 2024/25 and provided details of the current budget position.
Information on decisions made by Erskine, Inchinnan, Bishopton and Langbank Local Partnership at the meetings held on 6 June and 28 November 2024 in terms of grants awarded was provided. From an available budget of £43,639 awards to applicants had been made totalling £37,412.42, the balance remaining for 2024/25 was £6,226.58.
The report recommended that the Erskine, lnchinnan, Bishopton and Langbank Local Partnership consider arrangements to ringfence the remaining balance of £6,226.58 to be spent during 2025/26 and allocated as part of 25/26 grant funding process in April 2025.
The report detailed in Appendix 2, the Local Priorities for Erskine, Inchinnan, Bishopton and Langbank Local Partnership area.
The report also provided information on the provision made within the budget of each of the seven Local Partnerships for community members of the Local Partnerships to claim a flat sum of £50 per year to offset expenses incurred in attending meetings. To facilitate the process of claiming this expense members were advised that they should complete and return the form attached as Appendix 3.
DECIDED:
(a) That the contents of Erskine, Inchinnan, Bishopton and Langbank Local Partnership Update Paper be noted;
(b) That the budget position be noted;
(c) That the balance of £6,226.58, which remained, be ringfenced and carried forward for consideration at the meeting of Erskine, Inchinnan, Bishopton and Langbank Local Partnership to be held on 30 April 2025; and
(d) Members to complete Appendix 3 to facilitate the payment of £50 expense, if required.
