There was submitted a report by the Director of Finance & Resources relative to developments in relation to health, safety and wellbeing issues since the previous meeting of the Joint Consultative Board (Non-Teaching), held on 13 June 2024.
Unison representatives advised that there were still concerns regarding facilities for Home Care staff.
The Strategic Lead Partner (Health & Safety) advised that this had previously been discussed with Unions and both had agreed that a Working Group be set up to discuss the concerns and find a resolution to this matter, a report would be submitted to the next meeting of this Committee to be held on 21 November 2024 to advise of the findings of the Working Group.
DECIDED:
(a) That a report be submitted to the next meeting of the Joint Consultative Board (Non Teaching) to be held on 21 November 2024 regarding the findings of the Working Group on Home Care workers facilities; and
(b) That the report and verbal updates be noted.

There was submitted a report by the Director of Finance & Resources relative to the number of grievances received.
The report provided information on grievances at both the informal and formal stages and indicated that there were a total of 14 grievances as at September 2024, an increase of eight cases since the last meeting of this Board in June 2024.
DECIDED: That the report be noted.

There was submitted a report by the Director of Finance & Resources relative to the number of agency staff employed within the Council as at 31 August 2024 and detailing the capacity and Services in which they were engaged. The report advised that as at 31 August 2024, 111 agency workers were employed across all Council Services, a decrease of 56 agency workers since June 2024. Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership employed 71 of those agency workers.
The HR Manager was heard in answer to questions on the report and was requested to bring further information on the breakdown of numbers relative to posts and staff to the next meeting of the Joint Consultative Board (Non Teaching) to be held on 21 November 2024.
DECIDED:
(a) That a detailed report relative to agency worker posts and staff numbers be submitted to the next meeting of the Joint Consultative Board (Non Teaching) to be held on 21 November 2024; and
(b) That the report and verbal updates be noted

That the next meeting of the JCB (Non Teaching) be held on 21 November 2024.

Councillor Doig requested that all future meetings of the JCB (Non Teaching) be held via the Teams Platform. This was agreed unanimously.
DECIDED: That it be noted that the next meeting of the JCB (NonTeaching) would be held at 3pm on 21 November 2024 and agreed that all future meetings would be held via the Teams platform.
