The applicants had been asked to appear personally for the second time together with James Kilgour, Kenneth Barnes, Anthony Graham, Charles Thomson, Stewart Williamson, William Morrison, Allan Kerr, Ewan Stevenson, Derek McConnachie, John Stewart Reid, Peter Gair, Gordon Barr, Kenneth Sweeney, John William Bryce Boal, Stuart McLean, James Liddell, Colin Wardrop, Iris Dougans, Iain Gordon Kelly, Michael Jaconelli, Stephen McLean, James Dean, Kenneth Brown John Cooper, Robert Kilpatrick McCaig, Robert McGhee, Raymond Reid, Robert Gay, Iain Urquhart, David Stewart, Edward Love, Francis Patrick, Thomas Grant, John Curran and James McGrory who had submitted objections received outwith the statutory timescale to the applications:-

It was noted that the applications would be considered together but that separate decisions would be recorded.
Mr D McCulloch and Ms H McCulloch, on behalf of Paisley Taxis Limited, the applicant was invited into the meeting together with James Kilgour, Kenneth Barnes, Anthony Graham, Charles Thomson, Stewart Williamson, William Morrison, Allan Kerr and John William Bryce Boal, all late objectors to the applications. It was noted that Charles Thomson would represent Allan Kerr. There was no appearance on behalf of Ewan Stevenson, Derek McConnachie, John Stewart Reid, Peter Gair, Gordon Barr, Kenneth Sweeney, Stuart McLean, James Liddell, Colin Wardrop, Iris Dougans, Iain Gordon Kelly, Michael Jaconelli, Stephen McLean, James Dean, Kenneth Brown John Cooper, Robert Kilpatrick McCaig, Robert McGhee, Raymond Reid, Robert Gay, Iain Urquhart, Edward Love, Francis Patrick, Thomas Grant, John Curran and James McGrory. It was noted that the objection submitted by David Stewart outwith the timescale for objections had been withdrawn.
On hearing the reasons for the lateness of the objections it was decided that the objections be taken into account when the applications were being considered.
After consideration of all matters before the Board, the Board adjourned to allow members to consider the applications. The meeting was reconvened.
Councillor Hood, seconded by Provost Hall moved that each of the ten applications be granted for a period on one year.
Councillor Mylet, seconded by Councillor McQuade, moved as an amendment that consideration of all ten applications be continued to a future meeting of the Board.
In terms of Standing Order 30 the Convener intimated that the vote would be by a show of hands.
On a vote being taken, 5 members voted for the amendment and 4 members voted for the motion. The amendment was accordingly declared carried.
DECIDED: That consideration of each of the ten applications for Taxi Licences, applications be continued to a future meeting of the Board.
