There was submitted a report by the Director of Finance & Resources relative to applications received for local area committee funding.
DECIDED: That the applications for funding be determined as follows:-

Active Communities (Scotland) Limited – Jingle Bell Fun Run – Awarded £2,780
Active Communities (Scotland) Limited – ‘Feel Good about Youth Club’ – Awarded £4,275
Cameron Dance Group – Running costs and assistance towards costs of annual display including costumes
Councillor Kelly, seconded by Councillor Williams, moved that Cameron Dance Group be awarded £2,200.
Councillor M MacLaren, seconded by Councillor K MacLaren, moved as an amendment that the application by Cameron Dance Group be declined.
In terms of Standing Order 30 the Convener intimated that the vote would be by a show of hands.
On a vote being taken, four members voted for the amendment and four members voted for the motion. There being an equality of votes cast the Convener used his second and casting vote in favour of the motion. The motion was accordingly declared carried.
