Renfrewshire Council comprises 43 councillors each representing one of twelve multi member electoral wards. Each electoral ward has either 3 or 4 councillors. Our current councillors were elected at the Scottish Local Government Elections held on 5 May 2022.
The Council consists of 20 Scottish National Party (SNP), 11 Scottish Labour, 2 Labour and Co-operative Party, 5 Scottish Conservative and Unionist, 3 Independent, 1 Liberal Democrat and 1 Non-Aligned councillors. Each councillor is required to register their interests and to disclose those interests prior to considering Council business or immediately they become aware of any potential conflict of interests. You can view the details of each councillor's register and their declarations of interests on their profile pages below. Councillors are reminded regularly and at least every six months to review and update their register if appropriate. It is each councillor's responsibility to notify changes to their register within one month of the change occurring.
